Hello, and welcome to our website. I take great pride in owning, breeding, and raising two of the most fabulous breeds, English Bulldogs and Dogue de Bordeauxs. These breeds are very special and we feel they deserve the best of care.
I am so thankful that shortly after I acquired my first two bulldogs, I met the lady that became my mentor and great friend, Judy Stiglets. She genuinely loved the breed and when I met her, she had been raising healthy and beautiful bulldogs for many years. She never lost puppies or had health problems in her bulldogs, which I found uncommon based on what I had known. I wanted to learn as much as I could from her. Her red stud, Pa's Big Mac, was a beautiful, wonderfully healthy bulldog. He became part of my original breeding program. His offspring are still producing some of my finest bulldogs. I had the wonderful pedigrees and bloodlines from the beginning, but I wanted to help bring the quality back that was so obviously lacking in the breed as a whole. I had studied human nutrition for over 20 years and I wanted to apply myself to studying the nutritional needs of my dogs. It has greatly paid off. My dogs are generally healthier and maintain higher energy levels. I hope to educate people and continue improving these breeds for generations to come.
With proper breeding, nutrition and care there's no reason that bulldogs and bordeauxs can't enjoy long, heatlhy lives. There are many bulldog breeders out there, but very few that are actually endeavoring to raise the standard of the quality of life for these great dogs. It is a very common misconception that one should just expect skin and coat problems, allergies, eye disorders, joint problems, demodectic mange, extreme elongated palates, and so on. This should not be the norm for them and careful breeding can turn these issues into an exception, rather than the rule. Please check out the links contained on this site about raw meat diets and raw meat supplementation. Canines are carnivores, not vegetarians. Their digestive systems are different than humans'. They need the enzymes contained in raw meat to maintain a healthy digestive system. Cooking meat destroys the necessary enzymes, thus affecting their overall health in a very negative way. There are now verterinarians who are beginning to become educated and knowledgeable about the nutrition of our pets. I strongly encourage everyone to seek out these vets, rather than those who are paid to promote certain products. Dietary changes alone can make amazing, dramatic health improvements in most dogs.
We are very much against puppy mills as well as the indiscriminate studding out of our dogs. Your female must be healthy, of age, and within the conformation, and standard of the breed, whether it be Bulldog or Bordeaux.
We are also extremely diligent in placing our puppies. We will never allow brokering of our puppies or dogs. We also reserve the right to have the first option to take back any puppy or dog that we have placed should you become unable or unwilling to care for it at any time during the dog's life.
